Important Updates, News|

The Appaloosa Horse Club UK are launching a new welfare initiative to help with the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of Appaloosas in the UK.  In the current cost of living crisis, we anticipate more horses will be facing hardship and even abandonment this winter and we want to be able to help.

We are asking for your support on two fronts.

Firstly, we are looking for experienced horse homes who have the time and facilities to foster or adopt a rescue horse wherever you are based in the UK. We would like to set up a register of suitable homes ready and willing to help when the need arises.

Secondly, we are looking for ways to raise funds via donations for hay, feed, goods, farrier and veterinary checks/treatment for rescue horses. We anticipate the horses staying in their foster homes for up to 6 months before being rehomed. We will also allocate funds to develop the functionality of our website. This will enable us to provide regular information and report on the progress of the rescue horses to hopefully increase support for the Welfare campaign in line with our charitable objectives to preserve the Appaloosa Breed in the UK. (Charity Number 1090093).

To support this and other projects that we run, please give a donation to our charity.  Contact marketing@aphcuk.org for payment details or you can donate via our usual paypal by emailing treasurer@aphcuk.org (using friends and family).

If you think you can help in other ways for example by donating equipment or tack please get in touch with one of our directors.
